Miss Lillee turned 1 month old on the 15th! She is getting to be such a big girl! Or we think she is...the doctors have been concerned about her weight gain or lack there of...so we have been to the doctor several times for weight checks. At her 1 month check up she weighed 7lbs 6 oz and was 21.25" inches long. The doctors weren't happy with her weight so for the weekend we were on a crazy feeding frenzy where I would nurse her for 10 minutes then offer her 2 oz of formula and then pump for 10 minutes. It was exhausting and very frustrating at times! Luckily Brandon was able to help me since it was the weekend. Monday we took her back in for a weight check and little miss weighed 7lbs 11.2oz!! So we made significant progress and that made everyone involved feel much better!! And the extra good news was that we no longer have to continue our strenuous feeding schedule but can go back to nursing only and offer formula only when we feel like she is still hungry. Brandon and I were pretty sure that she was just taking after her parents in the weight gain department. He and I were both very skinny from birth (of course you can't tell by looking at me now, but her Daddy is still skinny!) so we figure she will be the same.
On a sad note I am going to have to go back to work soon and I am really dreading it! Even though baby girl has been very fussy on most days I have still fallen head over heels in love with her and can't stand the thought of having to go back to work. I want to be the one to witness all of her new coos, smiles, and giggles and I am so scared to miss that! At least she will be staying with family and I will only be away from her for about 15 hours a week! Please pray that it will be a smooth transition for all of us!
Here are some pictures from the past couple of weeks...enjoy!
